Charles Lake Hits, is an American underground instrumental album which was created by Calvin Bowling for a local school in Cleveland in 2004. Charles Lake Hits is a tribute to the student body and staff members at Charles H. Lake Elementary School in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. A year after the creation, it had been rumors around the school that Charles Lake will be demolished to make way for a new Charles Lake. While Charles Lake Hits is in the making, the creation process had been suspended until January 2006. 

           After Charles Lake Hits#7 was recorded on April 2007, Charles Lake is slowly closing its doors for the last time. After October of 2007 Charles Lake School was demolished, which made students and staff members move to Louis Pasteur Elementary as a temporary building until the new Charles Lake was built. 

          From December 2009 to June 2010, Cleveland Metropolitan School District's Transformation Plan had permanently closed Charles "Henry" Lake School, due to low enrollment and constantly low state test scores. 

        Charles Lake Hits is left as one of the only reminders of Charles Lake School. Charles Lake Hits is an Electra and rock Instrumental album. After the school district close Charles Lake, Charles Lake Hits is published to YouTube. After Charles Lake Hits' golden years was over from the year of 2004 to September 30, 2011 marking the sixth year anniversary of TradCartoons Enterprises, Charles Lake Hits was taken down from YouTube. Charles Lake Hits always have an underground popularity. Charles Lake Hits is the first insturmental album in the world to be named after a particular school.
