Denis Kopotun[1][2] (born: June 5, 1996 (1996-06-05) [age 27]),[3] better known online as Denis (formerly known as DenisDaily), is a Canadian gaming YouTuber known for his Roblox videos as well as his friendly, easygoing personality. He was a member of the now-disbanded YouTuber group, The Pals.

Personal life[]

He was born in Edmonton, Alberta, later moving to Nashville, Tennessee, then he moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba and then finally to Vancouver, British Columbia where he currently resides. He is of Ukrainian descent. He is dating Gabby O'Hara.

YouTube career[]

Denis used to be one of the most-subscribed male Roblox YouTubers along with Flamingo and GamingWithKev. He was part of the now disbanded YouTube group The Pals, which consisted of himself, Sketch, Alex, Sub, and formerly Corl.

Denis originally owned a channel called KongoBoom and made Minecraft videos with Corl. But Denis later gave up on KongoBoom, that is until he met Alex, Sketch, and Sub and so together they created a collaboration channel called The Pals.

Mascots[]

Sir Meows A Lot[]

Sir Meows A Lot is Denis' channel's mascot. At denisdaily.com, there is even a plush toy and a squishy for Sir Meows A Lot.[4] It was based on the Business Cat, a Roblox Shoulder accessory.[5]

Pinchy[]

Pinchy is another mascot that was based on Cool Crab Shoulder Friend, a Roblox Shoulder accessory. There is a plushie for it in the Denis merch.[6]

Messenger Manatee[]

Messenger manatee is another mascot that was showcased on Denis' YouTube channel. There was also a plushie for Messenger Manatee.

Minecraft Server[]

NoobCraft[]

He used to have a server named NoobCraft (play.noobcraft.net) which has Skyblock game mode and multiple realms like Aqua, Lava and more. It closed down due to unknown reasons.

Controversies[]

Mickey Trend[]

In March 2017, Denis made a few videos about a Roblox hacker account called Mickey claiming that he was a hacker and claimed that he would hack Roblox on September 18, 2017, but it was a rumor. He had nothing to do with creating the rumor, it was being created by the Roblox forums threads on a category, known as the "Off-Topic Forums".

GrowBux[]

On September 25, 2017, Denis made a video about a website called Growbux, a website he created that gave users "free Robux" after installing an app.[7] This caused lots of controversy in the Roblox community. Many accused him of exploiting kids by making them download applications that could contain malware and spyware, some developers of popular Roblox games (like Alexnewtron the creator of MeepCity) even said that he violates Roblox's terms of services which has a rule not to provide free Robux through third-party websites, along with violating the COPPA guidelines (COPPA is a law that prevents websites from exploiting, scamming or collecting personal information from under 13s).[8] Denis has tried to deny the accusations, saying it's not a scam. He even called another person "ignorant" for being misinformed. This caused even more hatred for Denis. He eventually apologized and updated everything.

Clickbait and Theft Accusations[]

Denis is known to have made several misleading clickbait videos. He is also known for stealing thumbnails, as several YouTubers such as greenlegocats123 and legobloxian called him out for it, Denis has yet to respond to these accusations to this day. In a new video, Denis had said he felt horrible for the theft of the thumbnails and said he had removed them from his videos.

Disbanding of The Pals group[]

In February 2019, Corl got into an argument with a fan of The Pals on Twitter and made disrespectful tweets towards the fan which caused him to recieve backlash. Corl's fans then blamed the fan for being the cause of the hate that Corl was receiving and made hurtful messages towards the fan which lead to her attempting suicide. Shortly after, Denis kicked Corl out of The Pals and abandoned their 11-year friendship. A few months later, Corl posted pictures of him holding a Mossberg shotgun, but was promptly deleted. Later, Denis announced that The Pals will be disbanding and all remaining members would work on their own channels. Denis, Sketch and Alex still remain active to this day, while Corl currently remains inactive. Sub remains active on Twitter but inactive on YouTube.

Other channels[]

Denis made an account called Sir Meows A Lot for Sir Meows A Lot videos, but the channel is currently inactive.

Denis also made a Denis Minecraft for his Minecraft videos, and it was announced by Messenger Manatee in a video called "Message from Messenger Manatee"[9] , but the channel currently remains inactive.

Denis also made a channel named Denis And Me (short for Meow), it has over 300k subscribers & it was aired on a Canadian streaming called "Crave" and Canadian TV channels "Family Channel" and "WildBrain TV". The series' second season began airing in January 2022 on YouTube.
