He is offtenly mistaken to be from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he said is not true.

He was an unknown cab driver, that liked to sing. One day Ekrem got another job ( suposably construction worker), and, when he realized that in the USA, unlike his birthplace, everyone just keeps working all day, and never see each other, he made the song Kuca-Poso (Home(House)-Work).

The song got 400 000 views in the first week, and later became popular, as a joke in Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, and of course Montenegro.

Later on, and untill today, the song has got more than 3 million views, and growing.

Videos

Ekrem's song "Kuca Poso, Poso Kuca" has been subject to ridicule and is generally viewed as a joke, but its author seems unaware of it and still thinks that this song became famous for its quality and his singing abilities.

Ekrem has some other songs (like "Oj Kafano") , which are also funny, but not so popular as Kuca Poso.

There is a lot of spoof videos and remixes of Ekrem on youtube too.
