Michael Smith (born: 1990 [age 33–34]), better known online as CptSchmidt, is a Canadian YouTuber known for his videos about driving.
History[]
Michael joined YouTube in June 2006. On April 1, 2007 he uploaded his first video. On December 2, 2011, Michael uploaded his most viewed video with over 84,000 views as of May 3, 2016. On April 1, 2016, 9 years after the channel's creation, he was featured on Global News, a news outlet in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
One Night in 2017, Michael was driving in Halifax and noticed a car speeding, braking at random times, and moving slowly at green lights. He assumed it was a drunk driver and called the police. The police later arrested the driver and charged him for driving under the influence.

Michael is currently living in Porters Lake, Nova Scotia. He is a student at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
