Draw My Life is a type of video made by YouTubers, in which the creator narrates their life over quickly-drawn illustrations to go along with their story.

The first "Draw My Life" video was created by Irish YouTuber BriBryOnTour in 2011.[1] Since then, the format has become incredibly popular. Many prominent YouTubers such as PewDiePie, Markiplier, and DanTDM have created videos in this format.

How to make a Draw My Life[]

A "Draw My Life" video is created using footage of drawings created by the narrator for their story. Typically, this is done with a whiteboard and dry-erase markers. Other equipment would include an overhead camera to film the illustration taking place. During editing, the video of the drawings is commonly sped up in order to match with commentary that would also be added in during this stage.
