GameXplain is an American YouTuber that mainly focuses around Nintendo video games, typically analyzing trailers, showing gameplay, and holding discussion videos.
There currently are three major hosts of the channel, the most active being Andre Segers, who works on and stars in a majority of their videos. The channel is also hosted by Tris Valbuena (formerly of Source Gaming) and other people. Derrick Bitner, Ash Paulsen & Steve Bowling used to appear in the videos but they left in November 2020 to form Good Vibes Gaming. Also, Jon Cartwright used to appear in videos, but he left in September 2020 to join Nintendo Life. But now Jon has left Nintendo Life to also join Good Vibes Gaming.
Whilst GameXplain has been uploading videos to YouTube for seven years, they have had a website (GameXplain.com) prior and have been making videos since 2003. On September 1, 2018, GameXplain reached 1 million subscribers on their channel and made a video for the celebration[1]. On April 7, 2020, the channel celebrated its 10th anniversary (despite being nearly a year late) and announced that it had reached over 1 billion views on their YouTube channel.

The channel currently has many different segments, some on the YouTube channel and some exclusive to their website.
Analysis[]
Whenever a new trailer for a video game comes out, GameXplain posts an analysis video detailing all the little hints and clues that could allude to bigger things. For example, in a Mario Kart 8 analysis they discovered numerous new track names on a sign before Nintendo officially announced the tracks. They usually only analyze Nintendo games.
Discussion[]
Andre, formerly Derrick, and formerly Ash often posted discussion videos where they get together and discuss a particular topic. These topics usually included speculation on their part and wishes they would like to see in upcoming games.
Cool Bits[]
GameXplain points out little things in games that they find really cool. These videos usually are very small, lasting only around three minutes.

Other Segments[]
GameXplain also has one-off videos that usually include showing off a certain thing in a game, such as all the boss battles in a game. They also review different games and upload guides of different games.
Controversy[]
In early 2021, former employees Ash, Derrick, and Steve revealed the reasons why they left GameXplain. Steve mentioned that in order to get out his Final Fantasy VII Remake review out on time, which included beating the game in two days, he had to crunch so much that sleep was impossible. Ash and Derrick both concurred with Steve's report, and noted that their guide-making wearied them and caused them not to enjoy games anymore.[2]
In addition, a moderator of the GameXplain subreddit going under the name u/GameXplain made the subreddit private, and deleted posts revealing the truth behind why the former employees left. Many users were speculating that the user behind it was Andres, as he and Steve were the only two confirmed to run the account, and Steve had already left at that point. The user was demoted by another moderator, who also restored the posts.[3]

- In "4+ Tiny NEW Super Mario Bros. Wonder Detailed Revealed in Ad", there are a few errors shown during the video.
- Mario's new "Wonderful!" voice clip isn't new. It was first said in the Japanese version of the announcement trailer. Mario even said that in the Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct.
- Peach swimming with a blue shell underwater is and the new "Blue bird enemies wearing goggles that dive into water" were technically shown in the same direct.
- On March 1, 2024, the channel was hacked and, like Nathaniel Bandy's hacking two years earlier, was changed to MicroStrategy. After it was retrieved, the channel got falsely terminated.
