Mankalor (born: February 13, 1996 (1996-02-13) [age 28]) is an American YouTuber known for his reviews & gameplays on Nintendo games that were Mario-exclusive themes. He mostly plays Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Kart Tour.

Biography

Mankalor on his YouTube channel, uploads gameplays of Nintendo games: for example, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Paper Mario: Sticker Star. He is known for being one of the best Mario Kart 8 players.

He uploaded fail compilation videos about 200 ways to fail on Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. He also focused on streaming content regarding Mario Kart 8, Mario Kart 7, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. He previously dominated Mario Kart Wii with a +9000 VR point rating.

Streams

He now focuses on Twitch during his archived Twitch stream by doing Mario Kart 8 200cc online races, but later he did a multi-stream along with YouTube on his tournament on Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Mario Kart 7.

Mario Kart 8

Mankalor focuses on Online races throughout the game. He first does some blue shell drop out montages and did two videos of 100 ways to fail. In "They're Back!", he first does some 150cc races during his commentary with Olmi and DJ, and then did his Mirror Mode tournaments at a start when recording. But by the time 200cc arrived, he started doing 200cc races during "200cc Madness!". In "I'm shocked!", he does a shock-dodge by using a star to dodge the lightning to prevent him from being shrunken down. He starts live streaming in "Live-streamed!" and tested out the live-streams during his YouTube live stream test.

During week 29 in Mankalor's Tourney, he also live streamed with his commentators throughout the 200cc races, and at week 70, his old tournament with the code 9077-9300-8344 was deleted by the Miiverse Admins and a new one with the code 1497-9883-3476 was created. Since the 100th week, it was half Mirror Mode, and half 200cc which was approximately 3 hours. By week 101, it was Mirror Mode in Frantic Mode and Normal 200cc. At the final Wii U tournament, it was set as the same time with the 100th week. It was permanently set in 1:00 to 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time, 200cc mode, no DLC, and no shuffling. It was replaced with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournaments in April 29th, and every Saturday.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Once Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launched on April 28, 2017, Mankalor focused on the game as he played it with Darby BTG. He bought the game on Amazon as it was shipped on the same day it released. He first did a Day 1 stream and did the newly advertised battle mode. When he was trying to find some 200cc lobbies, the 200cc World Cup tournament was created for some fans to play some 200cc races online. He made a video about something weird happened in the 200cc World Cup tournament after he gets 2063 points.

Mario Kart Tour

On September 25, 2019, Mario Kart Tour would be released on mobile devices worldwide. The game came out and it was initially brought out with negative responses as the game ran a gacha system. This didn't deter Mankalor whatsoever, as he would later shift his primary focus of his content from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to Mario Kart Tour. With this new branch of content, he would then make reviews of upcoming Tours as well as provided multiplayer rooms to his audience every week. As of today, Mankalor currently focuses on both Mario Kart Tour & Mario Kart 8 Deluxe simulataneously.

Mario Party Superstars

While the usual content for Mankalor was declining in interest, talks of a new game would later come. Once announced on a Nintendo Direct at E3 2021, interest soared and so too did Mankalor's. On October 29th, 2021, Mario Party Superstars was released. It would not be long as several days later, on November 4th, 2021, Mankalor would livestream his first Mario Party Superstars session alongside Ellietendo & 8owser16 with modded costumes on. Mankalor would place 4th on his first streamed session, but this would be the beginning of a recurring string of streams as he opened his games up to his Twitch Subscribers & YouTube Members.

The Streak

On January 8th, 2022, Mankalor would start a huge winning streak of Mario Party Superstars sessions. Around this time, his Twitch Subscribers & YouTube Members would attempt to collude and beat out Mankalor, but each and every time the effort would prove fruitless and Mankalor would come out on top. By the time the win streak reached up to six, Mankalor would take notice to it and made it his best effort for it to be known as the next stream had it plastered as the title: "Can I get 7 (Grand Dad) Wins in a row?"

On February 8th, 2022, a month after the streak started, the win streak would be up to 11 wins in a row. Seemingly everyone was just out of it and there seemed to be no end to it. However, on February 10th, 2022, a surprise in the form of Downie, one of his "Permanent" Subscribers, would come into his own home and made a bet: if Mankalor came in 1st again, Downie would have to pay for Mankalor's food for the rest of his stay at Ohio; however if Mankalor loses, he would have to make another cursed Pizza video. In the end, Mankalor's 10-game winning streak came to an end and has to make a Pizza video. Since this session, the Pizza video has yet to be made.

An archive of his winning streak can be found here. The stream where he lost the winning streak can be found here.
