Aidan Fisher (born: September 1, 2002 (2002-09-01) [age 21]) is an American professional electric guitarist and actor, who resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He is known for playing the guitar at a Steel Panther concert in 2013, at age 11.[1] He is also known for his role in Stranger Things 4, where he played as a guitar-double of Eddie Munson, a fictional character that also plays guitar.[2]

History[]

Early Years[]

Aidan started music lessons at the age of 6, where he played the piano. He transitioned to bass guitar a year later, and then electric guitar 6 months later.[3]

Public Appearances[]

Aidan first performed at a stadium at age 9, where he played the USA's National Anthem at a Minor League Baseball game.[4] Aidan has continued playing the National Anthem at stadiums.

Guest appearance at Steel Panther concert[]

Aidan had been studying every note of the song 'Eruption' by rock band Van Halen, a guitar solo played by Eddie Van Halen. He attending a Steel Panther concert on December 19, 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri. Before the show, Aidan and his father came across Russ "Satchel" Parrish- lead guitarist for Steel Panther- in an elevator. Aidan had brought a sign with him saying "I challenge Satchel to a guitar solo" and showed it to Satchel. Satchel got a great impression out of the sign, and planned on inviting Aidan on to the stage to play guitar. Aidan and his father was in the front row of the Steel Panther concert, and Satchel mentioned a story about meeting Aidan and his father in an elevator with the sign. After the story, Satchel invited Aidan on the stage to play the guitar, alongside his sign laying in-front of the drum set.

Satchel never knew Aidan could play the guitar, and as Aidan prepared, he successfully covered 'Eruption' on the stage, surprising the entire Steel Panther crew, and the crowd that attended the show. After Aidan covered 'Eruption' alone, Steel Panther then played 'You Really Got Me' with Aidan being the lead-guitarist. Satchel then praised Aidan for his performance, and wrote on Aidan's sign saying, "Aidan- you won!!! Satchel".[3][5]

Aidan playing at the Steel Panther concert was filmed by his father who attended, and has been viewed more than 100 million times on the Internet.

Appearance at FOX & Friends[]

After Aidan's performance at Steel Panther became viral, he made an appearance at Fox & Friends in January of 2014, expressing how he felt when on stage. He then played 'Eruption' in-front of the interviewers.[6]

Continued Public Appearances and National Anthoms[]

After Aidan's popularity, he has been invited to cover heavy metal tunes on stage, and continues to play the National Anthem in baseball and football games.

On May 29, 2016, at age 13, Aidan was privileged to play on stage with the rock band 'Drowning Pool' and cover their most popular song, 'Bodies'. Lead vocalist Jason Moreno mentioned Aidan as he made his appearance on the stage, with the crowd instantly recognizing him.[7]

EVANDALE[]

In 2019, Aidan became a member of the band EVANDALE as a guitarist.[8]

Appearance on Stranger Things[]

Aidan found a Facebook post of a background acting page, and was looking for a professional electric guitar player. Aidan signed up by covering Metallica's 'Master of Puppets'. He was invited to take part in Stranger Things, Season 4 Episode 9. Aidan portrayed as a guitar-double of Eddie Munson (fictional character in Stranger Things) and would be involved in-close ups of his guitar while covering 'Master Of Puppets' by Metallica. Aidan was able to meet-up with Joseph Quinn, who plays as the original Eddie Munson, and also met Gaten Matarazzo, who played as Dustin Henderson on Stranger Things. Both of them were also musicians.[9]

Personal Life[]

Aidan was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 1, 2002. He has a sister named Rebekah, who serves in the United States Air Force. Aidan move to Atlanta, Georgia in 2020 to continue his passion for music, film, and acting.
