Brittany Johnson, (born: April 2, 1995) better known online as PsiPaula4, is a mostly retired American YouTube user that was routinely active between the years of 2008-2011. She is well-known in the EarthBound/Mother community.
The Insane EarthBound Adventures[]
The Insane EarthBound Adventures is what she is most known for. It's a sprite animation series that ran for 74 episodes, but she also uploaded a gag 75th episode and then another gag episode made for the 10th anniversary, that one being made by her brother rather than herself according to its description.
The Insane EarthBound Adventures was amateurly and somewhat crudely (especially in the earlier episodes) made in MS Paint and Windows Movie Maker, but its fans enjoy it for its, as its title implies, absurd and random flavor of humor.
The first episode was uploaded on January 28, 2008, but the original versions of episodes 1-10 have been deleted. She mentioned in youtube comments that she did so for a mix of copyright infringement issues as well as embarrassment over them for their poorly-aged offensive humor. The final real episode, Part 74, was uploaded on January 16, 2010. She stopped making them because she lost interest, but she persisted in making remakes of the original 19 episodes, part 19's remake being uploaded on October 10, 2011.
Mother Saga[]
Mother Saga is a reenactment of the video game "EarthBound Beginnings," which she created with her friends and her brother. It was inspired by UbseyMovies' "EarthBound Saga", a reenactment of the sequel, EarthBound. The starring role, Ninten, was played by SuperNess1000. Brittany herself was Ana, and her brother JeffKirby58, now known as Swaggy Daddy, was Lloyd. The overall quality of Mother Saga is objectively poor, filmed with a low quality camera, often shaky, but Mother Saga is appreciated for being the only full, completed reenactment of EarthBound Beginnings, and only completed reenactment of a Mother game period.
The first episode was uploaded on April 4, 2009, and the final episode, part 13, was uploaded a year later on April 4, 2010. Later that year on December 9, she uploaded a compilation of all the episodes in the format of a full film, including bonus scenes as well as some slightly higher quality reshot scenes. Its runtime is one hour, 51 minutes, and 43 seconds.
On June 14, 2010, a teaser trailer for the sequel, Mother Saga 2: Giygas Strikes Back!, based on EarthBound was uploaded. Ultimately it was cancelled due to some issues with the actors, and all the completed footage was uploaded to YouTube compiled into 3 parts. The cancellation was chiefly caused by SuperNess1000 moving away.
On July 20, 2020, Brittany revealed that she would be making a reboot for Mother Saga 2 in the community tab. 8 days later, it was uploaded. While it was set up to be a serious reenactment like the original, it ended up being a very tongue-in-cheek parody of EarthBound masquerading as a reenactment. For example, Ness, played by a youtuber by the name Nagito Komaeda is dressed like Ness but wears a mask of Sans from the game Undertale over his face, and for the most part acts exactly like Sans but is treated as completely normal. "Pokey Minch" is portrayed by Brittany herself dressed as the character Toko Fukawa from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, but unlike Ness, this is acknowledged by other characters in the video. Judging by there being no numbers in the title, it appears to be a standalone video, but PsiPaula4 hasn't stated whether or not she would make more parts.
