Catherine Elizabeth Valdes (born: May 16, 1989), better known online as catrific, is an American YouTube vlogger. She is well known for her frequent collaborations with popular vlogger YouTubers Joey Graceffa , as well as YouTubers Dan and Phil.
Personal Life[]
Catherine Valdes was born in Orlando, Florida. She has two older brothers (Matt and Paul) and a younger sister (Sarah). Her dad (Armando) is full Cuban, while her mom (Tricia) is American. Catherine wanted to be a dolphin trainer when she was 3 after visiting Seaworld. At eight years old, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia due to her father getting a job as an operator at Chick-Fil-A. Cat was home schooled from the ages of 8-10 after that she went to the school, Kings Academy. At the age of 14, she got her first job working at Chick-Fil-A. By the time she was sixteen, she was a manager and graduated high school at the age of 17, discovering YouTube when she was 18.
In 2008 she had 3 jobs, working at Chick-Fil-A, being a full-time nanny and also worked at a restaurant called California Dreamin' where she was a waitress. She was also a volunteer at the Georgia Aquaruim as she still aspired to become a whale trainer. In 2009, she attended Kennesaw St. University, where she studied Biology, but it wasn't for her. She then when to a christian school in Redding, California called Bethal, where she went to grow and learn about faith and to take time off. Cat helped to create the former popular website Daily Booth. She was offered a job in San Francisco after her semester was finished, and she took the job. Working at Daily Booth, Cat felt the job was too slow and started to become depressed. The depression caused her to leave her job at daily Booth and move to Los Angeles.

In 2008, Cat found YouTube and started watching videos and creating her own. She started creating YouTube videos as a job when she quit her job at Daily Booth. Her dog Beta once swallowed a sock whole and had to get surgery to remove it, which costed $6,000. She had asked viewers on YouTube to donate money so she can pay the expenses, which people backed her up. She is good friends with YouTuber and actress iJustine. Some of her other YouTube friends include Joey Graceffa and Missglamorazzi.
