Thank you for following the development of Yandere Simulator.

―Yandere Dev's outro

Alex (born: June 30, 1988 (1988-06-30) [age 35]), better known online as Yandere Dev, is an American YouTuber and independent game developer who's known for creating the stealth action game, Yandere Simulator. Additionally, YandereDev was a partner of TinyBuild.

Appearance

In recent videos, YandereDev uses an anime-style illustration to represent himself. His avatar is a picture of Yandere-chan, and in his older videos, he used her to represent himself.

YandereDev is seen with black hair, brown eyes, and glasses, as seen in many Anime Expo 2016 pictures. YandereDev has stated he doesn't want any pictures of him in the past because he had "nasty dark eye circles," but he eventually "came out of his shell".

During his visit to Anime Expo 2016, he allowed fans to take photos with him; since then, there are now several public pictures featuring him on his blog. According to YandereDev, he is 5 feet and 11 inches the last time he measured himself.

In several videos, particularly the recent ones, YandereDev uses a character to represent himself. In his video on "Yandere Simulator's Biggest Problem", (and for a future announcement) his eyes are brown instead of black. His avatar is a picture of Yandere-chan, and in his older videos, he used her to represent himself.

Personal life

He went to college in Santa Monica, California to earn an Associate Degree of Arts in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects.

After this, he worked as a Junior Game Designer at Kung Fu Factory for three years, working on five console games and five mobile games. Eventually, he left in July 2013 to pursue his dream of becoming an indie game developer.

Yandere Simulator

In 2014, Yandere Dev began development on an action, stealth game called Yandere Simulator. The plot involves a teenage student named Ayano Aishi attempting to get another student's attention, named senpai. The player can choose to coerce their love interest or murder other characters who are attracted to senpai while maintaining your own reputation. Yandere Dev originally proposed the idea to the forum website, 4chan which received positive feedback. On his main YouTube channel and blog, he will give frequent updates and lore about the game.
