Ryder Burgin (born: December 1, 1995)[1], known online as FootofaFerret, is an American YouTuber, video editor, host, writer, voice actor, and musician who is known for his series A Brief History.
Content[]
On his main channel (FootofaFerret), he primarily uploads a brief history of the YouTubers he likes and some content in general in a certain amount of minutes. He has at least 70 videos of this series. On his second channel (Foafy), he unboxes, and reviews mostly about Pokémon Cards, and others such as the Steven Universe Trading Cards. Sometimes FootofaFerret makes videos of things about shutting down and pretends it still exists.
Character Design[]
2010-2018[]
His character has small eyes, his hat having a tan colour, his skin colour having a light skin (tan) colour and also wearing red and white shoes. He has a small nose and a large mouth with straight teeth with dimples.
2018-Present[]
His character is a bit similar to the Steven Universe animation style, but there are changes: his teeth are rounder, his hat has different brown colours, his eyes are bigger, that are oval shaped, his mouth is bigger, sometimes his mouth has dimples, his shirt has the A Brief History logo on it to represent his show he made. He did not create this design, only a user called Gregzilla made it for him.
Personality[]
Ryder is usually calm, but sometimes he has a deep voice when he flips out (releases his anger), gets a high pitched voice when sad, and, all the time, has a dorky and crazy side. He is obsessed with TV shows (cartoons, web shows etc.), videogames and youtubers that he is obsessed with (For example, like Inanimate Insanity's Bow, he likes PewDiePie because of his chairs).
Foafy[]
Foafy is a human wearing a black shirt and a brown fedora on his head, he can be in 2 styles: in the style of Steven Universe, and he can be a stick figure character, his favourite TV show. Foafy is usually very lively and at times, crazy. This can lead to all sorts of mishaps, such as when he screams. He, however, also has a calm side, to be used when he talks about this favourite things carefully. One of his hobbies is when he gets interrupted and gets corrected by his friends, he threatens his friends lives by almost killing them (he used to be very violent in the past). He is the animated counterpart of Ryder Burgin.
Trivia[]
- He once helped Rebecca Parham on her 1 million subscriber milestone special. In that milestone, she has sung a song from the 30's that inspired her name "Let Me Explain Studios". FootofaFerret helped her with the instrumentals and the mixing for the song. On that same day, he uploaded a brief history of her in 9 minutes.
- Occasionally, he works on some game theories with The Game Theorists as he used to work there.
- He is known friends with Rebecca Parham, Emirichu, TheOdd1sOut, GingerPale, Jaiden Animations, Domics, Tabbes, SomeThingElseYT, illymation and TimTom.
- He has diabetes.[2]
- Together with his Brother (Colt) on the drums and his Mom (Dru) the bass guitar, he formed a family band sprecialised in family friendly rock called the Burgin Brothers. Ryder was the lead singer and the Guitarist of the band. His dad (Alan), who passed away in April 2018, acted as the general manager. The band seemed to have stopped around 2012.
- His first A Brief History was on the Beatles.
- He uses the software Adobe Premiere Pro to animate his videos.
- He made a cover video of the Steven Universe song: "Jam Song" with Illymation.
- He is known to be also appearing in some of Puffy The Jigglypuff's animation memes.
- Puffy the Jigglypuff made a series to tribute his music videos titled: 'StrangeStorm' and 'StrangeStorm (Water Level)', which is officially called StrangeStorm.
- He is also known for voicing Khaos and Kalamity, the ferret brothers from the upcoming videogame, Ink Inside.[3]
- Despite Foafy having an Animal Crossing player persona, he does not make videos of Animal Crossing.
