predominantly on RPGs such as The Elder Scrolls and Guild Wars 2.
Gix is known for being one of the "founding fathers" of the RPG Let's P
lay community along with Veriax, being an inspiration of several other popular LPers such as MyNameIsNotLilly and Nagidal416. He started uploading videos in 2008, but did not start LPing until March 2009. His first Let's Play was of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and despite it being the first time he was recording his face and voice on YouTube, especially for a long session, he was impressively laid-back and charismatic. His quick-witted humorous remarks to in-game events, along with the fact that he was playing the game "blind" (having very little to no past experience in the game and thus allowing for anything to happen), allowed the series to grow rapidly in popularity, with the first set of videos in the series currently sitting on 100,000+ views. To date, his Morrowind Let's Play is his most popular series and is still in progression.
Gix has three series currently in progress, those being Let's Plays of Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, the three most recent games in The Elder Scrolls. He has done several Subscriber Special videos, covering games such as the Baldur's Gate rehash for iOS, and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. Outside of YouTube, Gix has a Livestream channel, where he occasionally broadcasts himself playing random games to his fans, chatting with them and answering their questions.
Gix has revealed that he is French-Canadian and he is bilingual in French and English. He has two younger brothers, and shares an apartment with two roommates in Montreal, Quebec. While he does not wish to tell too much about his work-life, he has stated that he currently works as a 3D Artist and Lighting Technician, but has worked previously on several video game projects as a character animator.
