Hot Dog appeared in a flashback in Annoying Orange: Frankenfruit as a minor antagonist.

In the flashback story narrated by Little Apple, a gypsy put a curse on him, so whenever there's a full moon in the sky, Hot Dog turns into the Halloweenie.

Later on, the Halloweenie came and killed Frankenfruit, to which Orange replied, "Who let the dogs out?", followed by his signature laugh.
