TheDeviousCoopers are a group of LPers and video makers who focus on the Sly Cooper game series. In mid-September 2011, JonathanWolfe038 joined the channel, beginning a Let's Play of Sly 3 : Honor Among Thieves. Upon completing it, he started a 2nd series Shadow of the Colossus. Due to lack of fan interest, Jon stepped down as an active director, but remains a friend and affiliate to TDC.

On August 31, 2012, Jon announced his partnership with the gaming network RPM (now Maker Gen), a division of Maker Studios.
Recording the Let's Plays
Jon creates his videos with a few different tools. For the majority of his console recording, he uses a Hauppauge HD PVR 2 capture device. For pc based recording he uses Bandicam or OBS screen recording software. For editing, he uses Sony Vegas.
In the beginning Jon had uploaded in 480p quality/resolution. This is because that is usually the resolution he recorded in, and because HD file sizes take forever to render and upload. He bumped up to HD early in 2012, offering 720p quality for all of his videos.
