Personal life[]

Luke was born and grew up in a Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. He is the oldest of 3, with a younger brother and sister. He took an interest in video cameras, art and music at a young age. History[]

He joined YouTube on November 12, 2007 at age 16 where he began posting vlogs, skits, parody music and original music. YouTube quickly became an outlet for his creative expression, finding the freedom to be himself and an escape from bullying with accepting and supportive viewers. He loves making people laugh and smile. In 2008, Luke created and began a series of videos acting out a silly 10 year old character named Hunter, who became a memorable and beloved part of his channel. In 2011, Luke came out as transgender in a tumblr post (later removed). Sharing his experiences, depression and struggles growing up, he let his viewers know they are not alone. In 2013 he created a gaming channel "ZombieJey" and began posting Let's Play series around games like The Sims 3 and Minecraft. He continued to film and upload a variety of content, growing as a videographer and musician and eventually releasing music on iTunes and Spotify. In January 2015 he joined the YouTube collaboration channel "My Digital Escape" and posted fun weekly videos on various topics alongside Johnnie Guilbert, Kyle David Hall, Jordan Sweeto, Alex Dorame, Shannon Taylor and Bryan Stars. The group went on a 21 date tour across the USA and Canada in March/April of 2016. Luke performed his parodies and original music on this tour, meeting many fans and viewers who have been with him since his early YouTube days. MDE disbanded in May of 2016 after a controversy with the management of the group. On November 12, 2016 Luke uploaded a coming out video "I'm transgender." where he talked about his struggles with self acceptance and how joining YouTube and the support he received from his viewers over the years had completely changed his life. He announced he would begin hormone replacement therapy. On November 23, 2016 he filmed and uploaded a video of his first testosterone shot experience. Throughout 2017, Luke documented and uploaded monthly update videos of the changes he was experiencing on testosterone, sharing his excitement and happiness to finally feel like and truly be himself. At the end of April 2017, Luke travelled to California to be with Johnnie Guilbert, Alex Dorame, Kyle David Hall and Jordan Sweeto as they announced their new collaboration channel "Our World Away". The group filmed and uploaded weekly videos for 8 months before calling a hiatus. In July of 2017, Luke uploaded a video talking about his appearance issues and why he struggles to show his whole face and look directly at the camera, being born with a crooked nose and smile as the umbilical cord was wrapped around his face and neck. Since late 2017 to present day, Luke has been live-streaming on the platform Twitch where he chats with viewers and plays video games such as The Sims 4, Cities Skylines and Minecraft. Luke had taken a step back from YouTube, only uploading a handful of videos throughout 2018, later in the year sharing his struggle with his mental health, which continued through 2019 - 2021. In December of 2019 Luke wrote and released an original song "bedroom window" which expresses his struggle with his mental health over the years. In 2021, Luke continues to release original instrumental music with his ongoing music project "lonely little cloud" and uploads the occasional YouTube video.
