Rick Roll A La Chilena is a Rickroll variation by Chilean producer Diego Grez. The video became a Rick Roll since it was viewed more than 3 thousand times, before it was deleted and re-uploaded to a new YouTube account. The video is the only one which was recorded in Chile and was featured in TV and news media.

Plot

The video, starring Diego Grez and Belén Rojas was recorded the Independence Day (Fiestas Patrias) in Pichilemu, Chile (September 18-19, 2008). Referencing RickRoll A La Chilena: El Documental textually:

El origen de Rickroll'd a la Chilena proviene desde que Diego Grez, escuchase la canción "Together Forever" de Rick Astley en octubre de 2007. La cual descargó desde la red de Ares junto a "Never gonna give you up". En la navidad de ese año, Diego Grez descargó el video de la canción, del cual se "fanatizó". A partir de marzo empezó a tener más apego a esta manía llamada "Rickroll" empezando a "rickrolear" a sus compañeros de clase, como lo vemos en este video. Muy pronto, el 9 de mayo de 2008, rickroleó todo su colegio, quedando todos sus alumnos impactados por sus coreografías bastante ochenteras. Pero no llegó a su fin. Posteó varios videos en YouTube relacionados con Rickroll producidos por él y con bastantes visitas. El 18 y 19 de septiembre fueron unos días cruciales, con la ayuda de una cámara prestada, se empezaron a grabar los cimientos de este video. El 19 de septiembre fue terminado e inmediatamente subido a la Internet esa misma noche. Al cabo de una semana, el video ya contaba con más de 1000 visitas. El video fué llamado Rickroll'd A La Chilena porque fué hecho el día de la independencia chilena y por su aparición de un personaje típico chileno. Muy pronto, Grez, fue entrevistado por la prensa chilena, asegurando que le gustaba la canción. El video ha recibido muchas críticas desde su subida a la internet, por lo que se le ha solicitado eliminarlo de la web. Pero este insaciable rickroller todavía no se da por vencido. Este video actualmente tiene más de 3200 visitas. Apareció unos días en la portada de Wikipedia. Es destacado en el sitio web Taringa.net y Fayerwayer.cl

The origin of Rickroll'd a la Chilena is since Diego Grez, listened the Rick Astley's song "Together Forever" in October 2007. Which downloaded from Ares network with "Never gonna give you up". At 2007 Christmas, Grez downloaded the song's music video, which he gets fanatized. Since March 2008 he got more motives to get to this mania called "Rickroll" starting to rickroll his classmates. Soon later, May 9th 2008, he rickrolled his entire school, with his classmates impacted because of his very eighties' choreographies. But he don't gets happy. He posted many videos in YouTube related to Rickroll produced by him and with many views. September 18 & 19th was important days, with the help of a rented camera, he started recording it. The video was named ".. a La Chilena" because it was recorded the Independence Day of Chile and of the appearence of a typical Chilean character. Soon, Grez was interviewed by the Chilean press, saying he liked the song. The video has received many critics since the uploading to the web, and also was said to delete it. But this unliked rickroller still enough rickrolling people. This video actually have more than 3200 views. Appeared some days in the Wikipedia's main page. Is featured in Taringa!.
