The ShowEdit

The Professionals is a Youtube-based fictional "reality show" centered around the lives of the employees of "The Nerd Unit," a universal phone-in helpdesk which also acts as an assassination service located in Long Island, New York, created by Keith Battista and Mike Michaels. The opening and credits music prior to Episode 1.08 is "Mr. Hollywood" by La Vendi and during Episode 1.08 and after is a guitar-and-drum track by Battista.

CharactersEdit

Tim: Technician 1 of 2 of the Nerd Unit's field tech team. Resolves problems requiring in-person support and carries out assassination orders, along with Frank. Played by co-creator and director Keith Battista.

Frank: Technician 2 of 2 of the Nerd Unit's field tech team. Resolves problems requiring in-person support and carries out assassination orders, along with Tim. Played by co-creator Mike Michaels.

Steve: Cameraman for The Professionals. Has been shot by Tim and Frank at least twice. Allegedly keeps returning because of the quality of the economy. Played by Dan Longfellow.

Character Involvement: Tim and Frank, Camera CrewsEdit

The cameras and camera crew are frequently acknowledged and often involved in the episodes and arguably save characters' lives on occasion. One such example occurs in Episode 1.02 (Season 1, Episode 2) "Let Me Explain" when the cameraman, Steve (Dan Longfellow), is shot while two of the main characters, lead field technicians Tim (Keith Battista) and Frank (Mike Michaels) are fighting over Frank's gun, and it goes off while accidentally pointed at him. Tim and Frank are also the lead main characters throughout the show. Since Steve is always there (because he's the cameraman and he has to be), you could technically say that Steve is a main character too, but only talks on one occasion, and normally doesn't do much to advance the plot.

Janine: Secretary for The Nerd Unit. Briefly was deployed to the field while Tim was recovering from a medical incident. Played by Boc Amazzo.

Tech: In-office repairperson. Fixes computers that Tim and Frank bring back from the field. Prior to Episodes 1.12-14, does not know that The Nerd Unit also kills people. After 12-14, believes that The Nerd Unit only kills criminals. Foreign-born, but the show never specifically states where, although it is believed that Tech is Indian. Played by Ryan Waskewich.

The Boss: Owner and founder(?) of The Nerd Unit. Has combat experience. Played by David DelGrosso.
