Joseph "Joe" Thio[1] (born: April 20, 1992 (1992-04-20) [age 31]), better known online as ThioJoe, is an American Tech YouTuber. He is known for making a variety of content including comedy, tech reviews, tech news, YouTube tips, and more.

He owns several other YouTube channels called Thio, ThioJoeTech, ThioJoeGaming, Vid Authority, and Actual School: What They Should've Taught You, most of which are currently inactive. Currently, he only produces legitimate tech videos, except for the occasional instances such as April Fools pranks. Joe is known for his unique style of editing and his commentary on technology.

  • "And, here's some from Twitter"
  • "Today's news is..."
  • "What? Bill Gates just called me and said you should _______!"

Trivia[]

  • He used to make and publish joke technology-related videos to his main channel, but, in September 2016, he switched to creating real tech videos, abandoning his 2nd channel, ThioJoeTech.[2]
    • He unlisted his joke tech videos, and they can still be accessed via a playlist on Joe's channel.[3]
  • ThioJoe used to have a series called Your Dumb Comments,[4] but this was ultimately dropped in favor of a new series, ThioNews (TNN), where he goes over fake news stories made by him and his viewers.[5]
  • According to his website, he has a bachelor degree in science, and a minor degree in physics.
  • He once tricked YouTube users by telling them a method of obtaining 2 million subscribers, simply by following a certain pattern that involved putting a #YTBoostRequest in the title of videos. This resulted in a variety of videos being titled with the hashtag, successfully achieving Joe's goals.
  • ThioJoe has an account on Collabspace, as seen in an unrelated JackSucksAtLife video.[6]
